Photos of the Week for July 26th to August 1st

Didn’t have much going on during the week but got to meet up with some really good photographer friends for lunch on the 28th. Steve King and Chris Wraight, some great guys and great photographers as well. It was good meeting up with you both again, let alone taking a little nature hike with Steve!!! Anyways as I mentioned didn’t have much for work that week, but I did go out and photograph a few things.

I have always had an interest in vehicles, many times you can find me underneath my car, changing the oil, doing a tune up, brakes, etc… When I was younger I always loved the look of the 40′s-60′s cars and with it an interest in anything with a motor. Here are a few selects from the July 30th Auburn Elks Cruise Night, a nice selection of newer cars and old cars. All with owners that love a good ride!! The Elks hold the event every Friday through September 17th. Get out there and have some fun!!

Can’t say I have always been interested in the Plymouth Road Runner, but as a kid watched Road Runner defeat Wile E Coyote, and always wanted to be as fast as him!! So these 2 photos are a little bit of a reminder of my youth!!

Since I don’t normally photograph cars and I wasn’t really looking for the full car look I was really looking at anything that jumped out at me, an interesting line, a classic logo, or just something out of the ordinary. The rest of this collection pretty much shows what my eyes caught while at the Cruise Night.

Yes this is a full car. But I saw the way the sun was setting, and felt if I came back to it I could get some nice shots with the sun in the background. This is what I came up with, I also went back about a half hour later and worked on getting the sun from behind the rear window. On to a few more close up shots!!
