Photos of the Week for April 19th to April 25th

This week was the second leg of my travel. After finishing up my first event in southern Florida we hopped a plane over to Tucson, AZ. It was my first time visiting Arizona, and I had a great time. I hope these images from my first visit show you what it is like in the AZ spring!! We hiked a little bit to get a great sunset shot, and it payed off. I got a wide variety of shots but really wanted to show these few off.

With this first image I really felt there was a lot going on when I made the image. When I was looking at this spot I knew I would need to show a little more dynamic range than the camera could show. Therefore I bracketed 5 images, which varied in shutter speed. This gave me 5 distinct images to work with and create a larger range with the many. The rest of the images in this post will be single images, with varying settings. I was doing my best to show off all the wonder of the Tuscon Mountain range. More after the break…

it was a highly enjoyable time. I look forward to heading back to Tucson in the near future, either in the spring for some more springtime in bloom shots, or in the fall for Monsoon season with their major lightning storms!!
