This week was my favorite of the year, could be because I got to meet some good friends again as well as meet a whole lot more new friends as well. I was traveling for some corporate event work and had a great time documenting the event for all of the guests. As always I do my best to make sure there are no unflattering shots of any guest as you want them to remember the great times!! Let alone when they are having that much fun it is tough to make any bad shot!! As much as I would like to post shots of the guests as the event is really for them, I would like to post some ambiance shots to show the background of everything going on. As a little side not for the end of the event a candids slideshow is produced with the wide variety of photos myself and the rest of the team make. For these events I am a second shooter and do a lot of candid/group shots. As the photographer I work with stated in the pre-conference meeting with the whole company staff as well as the hotel staff “Geoff does everything.” After that week+ event I sure did at least it did seem like it. Anyways onto the photos that help put the candids in perspective of the event!!
It was a great week+ as I stated, there were a lot of great activities as well as some great entertainment as well. More after the break….
These you may not be able to tell but they are part of palm tree leaves made into some fine art pieces. The gentleman was making flowers, grasshoppers and a few other items. They were very cool as you might be able to tell from the image.
One night they had a Broadway theme party, so I captured the actors while they were performing during dinner. There were a few auxiliary stages as well as a mainstage, these next 2 images are from the auxiliary stages and were spot lit with one light.
All in all there were a lot of places for some decor as well as some set pieces. I tried my best to get the best of the best.
I hope you get an idea of what I was working with for locations in these images. It was a great time, can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
