Photo of the Week for August 10th to August 16th

    By Geoff | August 17, 2009

Can’t say I’ve been too busy, just can’t always post everything that I shoot. Anyways here is a shot that will take you back all the way to my first post. It is of our little “D” not so little any more, and now has a little “sister” that she has been antagonizing lately! I’m sure eventually I will be posting a shot of Patches but in the mean time here is a shot of “D” watching me while I work on her little Epson perch.

    Nikon D700, 50mm f1.8, 1600iso, f4.5, 1/125th

Was trying for a handheld non flash shot, the reason for the high ISO, but ended up using an off camera flash (SB-800) using the Nikon CLS system to control it. And didn’t change the ISO to a lower setting. Also been playing a lot in black and white so have been trying some different variations in Lightroom 2.

Twilight broke my scanner because she kept sitting on it. Now, I’m sure your cat(s) aren’t as big as she is, but I would be careful.

Yeah she’s only around 4.5 pounds or so. She doesn’t hang out there often, normally in between my keyboard and monitors. But thats a little messy at the moment, although she does like hanging out on paper, just not other stuff!
