Photo of the Week August 3rd to August 9th

Had a pretty good week. Ended it with a great time in Crawford Notch Campground, in Hart’s Location, NH. Made the most of the weekend as we had a great site (64) on the Beaver Dam. Now normally we love camping in our normal site (54) but wanted something a little different as this was kind of a spur of the moment trip which was supposed to include my niece as it was a trip for her birthday (I miss it since I am normally away). Anyways long story short we had a blast with my wife’s neighbors daughter, whom came along as we had planned for her as well.

First night was great, set up camp, and the ducks were swimming along, with 2 young ducks hanging around mother. Later in the night things quieted down and I ended up getting this shot of a duck just doing his/her thing.

Now I should have shot at a lower ISO but was also tracking the ducks moving and just happened to see this one hanging around. A little over an hour after this shot I ended up seeing a black bear cub, sorry no photos as the camera was in the site, and I just happened to see him walking by across the beaver pond. As to the ponds namesake I saw 2 beavers doing their thing in the am. All in all was a great time! Can’t wait till October for the annual Fall foliage campout!
