January 16th 2009 POTD

Covered the Burncoat vs Doherty Memorial Boys Basketball game tonight.

Was a very tough gym to shoot in, my D300 wouldn’t have made it without using flash. The D700 that I just got in beginning of this week got its first sports test as well as a venture into HIGH ISO territory. Ended up shooting a few frames at ISO 12800!!!! Something you wouldn’t have seen last year. Granted on the D700 that comes up as HI-1 but in the EXIF data it will show up as 12800. The camera performed amazingly! More to come in the future, but I won’t forget about my D300 still a great performer.
