Mouth Guards

I find it amazing while shooting youth hockey that many of the kids have their mouth guards connected to the mask and not fully in their mouth. No matter what I always seem to catch them with the mouth guard either just barely in their mouth or not at all. Anyways here are a few examples.

Luckily it seems as the kids grow into young adults they learn to keep them in their mouth, well or they are off the ice due to the refs making sure that they have them in. Also it seems like most MA HS sports are requiring the use of mouth guards, at least in contact sports. I shot a soccer game this fall and the ref wouldn’t let a kid on the field without a mouth guard in. Glad to see someone is looking out for the health of student athletes.
