HS Fall Sports season

The High School sports season is upon us. Last week was my first Team day where I shot 5 teams total as well as about 50 individual shots.

Yesterday was my first action day in which I love. Ended up shooting field hockey which can be an interesting sport to photograph. I don’t really understand the game other than get the ball in the goal, but hey it can be fun.

Here are a few selected shots from the Varsity and JV games.

As you can see I am inserting my EXIF data to help understand what I was shooting with and at what settings at the time. I will continue to do this from now on.

Luckily I will be shooting some other sports that I love at the end of the week, soccer and football. Soccer is a great one due to the fact there are no helmets getting in the way of the faces so you can get some great expressions. With football its just pure passion and action. Lots of potential great shots like a fingertip grab or a nice interception. Will be hoping to get a few of those. Hopefully I’ll be in the right place at the right time.

I’ll be posting a lot more often now that the season is in full swing, look forward to seeing some more!
