Got the Shot!!!

Not quite, don’t you just hate it when you think you get a great shot and you go to chimp on camera when there is a break in play and you come to find out you got the shot but something is wrong with it. It happens a lot when I am photographing hockey, either a stick, player, ref, or another obstruction get in the way. Here are 3 images that illustrate this issue. All images taken this weekend.

Would have been a great Jube shot, but since the stick of a teammate got in the way it detracts from the shot.

Another stick in the face but this one hurts as well. A great shot of the goalie following the puck into his glove and a stick comes in to get in the way, of the puck and the photo. Can't blame the player trying to redirect it but it does detract and ruin the shot.

Not one that is too noticeable but if you look closely at the glovehand it is a little bit more red than the rest of the image. That is because the red pad on the glass of the scorers box got in the frame of the camera. Not a huge issue but it does a little bit to the quality of the shot.
